Joy Behar Waited 29 Years to Marry Retired School Teacher 7 Years Younger than Her

Joy Behar fell in love again after her first marriage ended, but it took her almost 30 years to get married again to her new husband, who is a bit younger than her. During a fun chat on a podcast, she talked about something unexpected that causes the most fights between them. Joy Behar was born on October 7, 1942, and she is turning 82 years old! She has been a co-host on a daytime talk show called “The View” since 1997, when the show first started. Sometimes, she took breaks from the show, but she has been a big part of it for a long time.

A funny lady was asked to leave a TV show in 2013, but she came back in 2015. Later, she said she was actually happy to leave because she wasn’t enjoying the show anymore, even though she couldn’t remember why she felt that way. The TV star didn’t know why the TV station took her off the show for two years, and they didn’t know either. She thought it was a silly mistake, but she said they learned from it.

Since then, Behar has kept appearing on the popular daytime TV show and said in an interview in October 2022 that she doesn’t plan to stop working on the show. The New Yorker said that she signed a new agreement to keep working on “The View” for a while longer.

She also mentioned that she doesn’t plan to stop working anytime soon. Behar said she still can’t believe that so many people watch the show. She feels happy to be part of it and isn’t planning to leave because she enjoys it. In October 2023, she celebrated her 81st birthday on the show, but she didn’t want to make a big fuss about it. In the show, Ana, one of the hosts, noticed that Behar doesn’t really like talking about her birthday. Another host, Sunny, said that Behar didn’t seem very happy about it. Then Behar joined the conversation and said something in response.

“I can’t get excited. I’m just happy that I’m alive, okay? You know, you wake up in the morning and say, ‘I’m still here, oh my god.'” In addition to being a beloved media figure, Behar is also a twice-married mother and grandmother. She married a man several years younger than her, whom she dated for nearly three decades before tying the knot. Joy Behar’s second husband, Steve Janowitz, used to be a school teacher and they got married in August 2011 after being together for 29 years.

On their wedding day, they wore matching outfits—Joy had on a short black dress, and Steve wore a black suit with a bow tie and a white shirt. Joy once talked about their relationship on a podcast and mentioned that even though they don’t fight much, they do argue about one thing: the car.
