Story of the Day: Everyone makes fun of the cheaply dressed girl at the party until the white limousine stops in front of her. A girl and her mother were madae fun of by everyone at a birthday party until a rich man happened to walk by and noticed the commotion. Madison Lando raised Trudy Lando all by herself. The 33-year-old was married to Joe Lando, a miner who died in an unusual mining accident with a couple of his coworkers.
The most of her adult life had been spent with the unyielding guy she had loved from their high school years. To avoid any problems with their conventional families, the couple got married as soon as possible, despite the fact that they had a daughter named Trudy who was single. Madison was never fond of her husband’s career change from archaeologist to mine worker. She thought mining was too risky, and they often disagreed about it. But her husband would win their arguments by pointing out that having a salary was better than having none at all.
After his death, Madison was furious with him for a very long time. Every time she thought of him, she would tell herself, “I warned you to quit doing it. “That two-year-old accident meant that their three-year-old daughter had to grow up without a father. Despite all those years, Madison continued to be single and focused on raising her child.
Their predicament became more challenging when her husband’s tiny emergency money ran out. Even though it became tough to pay for a basic meal, Madison was still able to maintain her daughter and herself. They led similar lives until the day destiny took over. At this point, Trudy had completed kindergarten, and her butler had announced that she was having a birthday celebration, sponsored by a very wealthy classmate, to which all of the students were invited.“To honor a new year for herself, Miss Bella La Fontaine is preparing a personalized birthday celebration.
“You are all heartily invited to this event, but there is a condition,” he stated as the cheers died down. “There will obviously be discounts, and all dresses must be purchased from the Fontaine clothes store in order to be authorized.” When Madison got home that day, she told her mother about the party. “Everyone is going to be there, Mom. The girl, excited, cried out, “I have to go.” “We have to head to the store so I can choose my dress.”
Her mother pretended to be enthusiastic and said, “Yes, let us go. “Other than the $100 tip she had made at her morning work at the restaurant, she didn’t have much money. She followed her daughter, promising herself that “all will be great.” Madison knew her money would not be enough the instant she looked at the price tags on the clothing. At least five times as much money was spent on each item as she had. She discreetly exited the store without a word while the folks who could afford the costumes made their purchases.
