Cranky Old Lady

Imagine coming home after a long day expecting silence to find your husband and his ex-wife in your living room. That is exactly what happened to me. But Melissa was not present to have a conversation. I never would have thought that she was capable of such things. Have you ever felt as though you were exhausted after a demanding day of deadlines and meetings? All you want to do is get into your warm, cozy bed, put on some fresh pajamas, and jump in the shower. It truly is the most incredible feeling ever.

Cranky Old Lady

When I got home from work two weeks ago, it is exactly how I felt. All I wanted was my bed, a hot cup of coffee, and the true-crime documentary I had been watching. Although I had intended to watch episode 3, what I saw as soon as I stepped in diverted my attention. I noticed something strange as soon as I unlocked the door, hung up the car keys, and made my way to my room. It felt too weird to be real, so at first, I really thought I was imagining things.

I realized that the rug and couch were vanished, and the bookcase was nowhere to be found. When I searched the kitchen and hallway, I discovered that the majority of the items were missing. The coat closet was where? The coffee maker is no longer there. The dining table is no more! How ridiculous is that? I thought about it. Where is Roger? I never saw my husband Roger, even though he usually arrived home before me. Then I perceived what appeared to be a yell emanating from him. It originated from the end of the hallway. from the living area.

I tossed my bags onto the kitchen island and listened to him speak. As I got closer, I heard another voice in the hallway. That voice belonged to a woman. Unprepared for what I saw, I yanked open the door and saw my husband and his ex-wife, Melissa. Roger called the woman “a filthy rich spoiled brat” and promised he would never see her again.

Melissa was just smiling, and Roger was pleading with me to keep my cool. I was quite sure they were having an affair until Melissa said something that infuriated me to no end. “You won’t,” she said to Roger in a furious manner. “You told her all you owned, right? Did you not?”

“I… I…” Roger faltered, at a loss for words. “All right, honey,” she turned to look at me. “I own every piece of furniture in this room. You see, I am simply taking back what is legally mine because I bought it with your spouse when we were married. Why is that? I thought about it. What is her opinion of herself?
