There’s no force quite like a mother’s love, a sentiment perfectly embodied by 98-year-old Ada Keating. Ada made the heartwarming decision to join her 80-year-old son, Tom, in a nursing home to provide the specialized care he requires, something the facility’s staff couldn’t fully offer.

With a lifelong career as a nurse’s aide, Ada’s expertise was precisely what Tom needed.

Tom, a former painter and decorator for HE Simm, moved into Moss View Nursing Home in 2016 due to his need for round-the-clock care.

The bond between Ada and Tom is deeply affectionate; they share a nightly ritual of saying goodnight and enjoy spending time together, particularly while watching television.

Whenever Ada steps out for a hairdresser appointment, Tom eagerly awaits her return, greeting her with a warm embrace.

Having never married, Tom has spent the majority of his life in his mother’s loving company, showcasing the depth of their unbreakable bond.

Ada poignantly remarks, “No matter your age, you’re always going to be my child.”
