Carrie Underwood Is Finished With Vegas But Not Before Leaving The Audience In Tears

We have heard many talented performers in the country music genre but sometimes, there is somebody who steps up to the mic and takes it to an even higher level. That someone is Carrie Underwood. When Carrie Underwood was nearing the end of her Reflection residency at Resorts World in Las Vegas, it was time for her to close the show. She did so in style, opening up the hearts of everyone in attendance with an old and powerful hymn.

You can always leave it to Carrie Underwood to make an impressive exit, but this one was over the top. During the final performance, she stepped into the spotlight and sang ‘How Great Thou Art’. It was a moment in time that will never be repeated again.

People were unprepared for the sheer power of what her voice was able to do that evening. She had performed it before, doing so in 2011 but now, she was doing it for the sake of everyone in attendance. Back in 2011, she was with Vince Gill for the AMC Girls’ Night Out special when she was singing and Gill was playing the guitar. It is one of those country music memories that people will not forget, but the performance in Vegas was different.

There was no pressure from live television to hold her back, rather, she simply opened up to the audience, many of whom had never seen her before in concert, and did something special. Many people who captured clips of the show shared them on YouTube and TikTok, but it really didn’t capture the sheer power of her voice and performance. She didn’t rush her way through the song, she just sang with all of her heart.

How Great Their Art is a song by Carl Boberg that was written in 1885. It was made famous by Elvis but other performers have also had it in their routine as well, including Alan Jackson. When Carrie Underwood sang it, however, it was something that touched everyone very deeply. This may have been the end of her Las Vegas tour, but hopefully, we will hear her perform it again.
