Aimee Lou Wood, Star Of ‘White Lotus’ Is Not Happy With The ‘Mean’ Parody Of Her On SNL

Saturday Night Live has been one of the longest-running television shows in history. Over the years, it has made many people laugh but it has also made many people cringe as well.

Although some people will laugh at being made fun of on Saturday Night Live, there are other celebrities who are not quite so happy about the possibility. Apparently, this includes Aimee Lou Wood, who is fuming at SNL for their ‘mean and unfunny’ parody of her part on The White Lotus.

The 31-year-old actress was on season three of the Netflix show and played Chelsea. That show came to a rather dramatic conclusion.

This isn’t the only show that was parodied on SNL, but when they set their target on The White POTUS, which had James Austin Johnson starring as Donald Trump and Chloe Feynman as Melania Trump, you know that you were in for something interesting. Sarah Sherman played Chelsea and an exaggerated version of her character. She was wearing false teeth to make it look as if she had Wood’s smile and gave it her best Manchester accent.

Although she did her part to look like Woods, it was her teeth that really were front and center in the skit. They even made some jokes, including having her not understand that fluoride is good for your dental health. The actress was upset that they focused on her physical appearance and wrote: “I did find the SNL thing mean and unfunny. ”She also added: “Such a shame cuz I had such a great time watching it a couple weeks ago. Yes, take the p**s for sure – that’s what the show is about – but there must be a cleverer, more nuanced, less cheap way?”

Afterward, she revealed many of the direct messages she received from fans who were very supportive of her. They were all in agreement with the fact that she had the right to be angry.

In the past, she has also spoken about her teeth, when she told GQ: “It makes me really happy that it’s symbolizing rebellion and freedom, but there’s a limit. “The whole conversation is just about my teeth, and it makes me a bit sad because I’m not getting to talk about my work. “They think it’s nice because they’re not criticizing. And, I have to go there… I don’t know if it was a man would we be talking about it this much? It’s still going on about a woman’s appearance.”

She also said that it has affected her self-esteem since she was a child. She said: “A big thing for me growing up was my mouth, because it was the thing that everyone pointed out, and it was the thing that made me different. “Playing loads of different characters has really helped with my self-confidence surrounding beauty. I’ve had to surrender control a lot. The more that you can surrender, the more beautiful you feel.”
