We all have to make decisions in life and sometimes, we may even end up regretting the decision that we made previously. Bette Midler seems to be in that position now.

At some point or another, Midler thought that it would be a good idea to buy a Tesla. She has always been an advocate for the environment, so buying an electric vehicle seemed as if it would be the thing to do.

More recently, however, she has decided to get rid of the Tesla and she is calling it a ‘joyful day’! She decided to celebrate getting rid of the electric vehicle, as she now sees Tesla as being ‘a symbol of racism, greed and ignorance.’ This is because she has a problem with Elon Musk.

Undoubtedly, Musk has caused many ripples because of his involvement in US politics and the messages that he has put out as a result. It has even caused people to target his Tesla products and protesters have been damaging cars, charging stations, and even dealerships.

It is also interesting that Elon was responsible, to a large part, for putting Donald Trump back in office. He spent about $3 billion of his own money to do so.

Midler is known to be a liberal and she has criticized Trump and Musk on social media many times. She even stopped posting on Twitter (X), which is owned by Musk after Trump was reelected.

In her remaining social media accounts, she wrote: ‘Life is so much better!!!’ This was in response to her cutting ties with her electric vehicle.

Others have also decided to cut ties with Tesla, including Sheryl Crow. She was donating the money from the sale of her Tesla to NPR. When she donated the sale of her Tesla, she wrote: “There comes a time when you have to decide who you are willing to align with. So long Tesla.”

Not everybody who owns Tesla vehicles are in a position or willing to sell them. Some have just tried to change the appearance of the vehicle to make it difficult to tell it is a Tesla so they don’t get vandalized.
