Katy Perry’s First Concert After Space Trip Has Fans Begging Her To Retire

There are times when a famous individual gets a lot of praise for the efforts they make. That isn’t the case recently, however, for Katie Perry. Katie Perry had recently been in space, and not everybody was on board with the way that she acted. They were critical of what she said and did, saying that she didn’t really accomplish all that much with an 11 minute trip to the edge of space.

The 40-year-old singer is now back in action with her feet on the earth again. Fans, however, don’t have much good to say about her returning from orbit or regarding her space-inspired dance moves and her metallic bodysuit.

April 23 was the date that Katy Perry kicked off her fifth concert tour of her career, the Lifetimes Tour. Her dance stage moves were viral fodder, but they weren’t something that brought a lot of positive attention. Instead, many fans are asking her to retire.

It’d only been a few days since Katy Perry was on the Blue Origin Mission. She was on that mission along with an all-female crew that was back from space within 11 minutes on a whirlwind flight. In the concert, she even paid homage to the mission but she kept a futuristic theme.

One thing that Katy Perry was aware of is the fact that there were many critics of her space trip. She even tried to put them in her dance moves, and some people were wondering if she was ‘being bad on purpose’.

The comments were hot and heavy, with many people telling her just to retire gracefully and others saying that they were embarrassed for her. One person even said that ‘This is the worst choreography I have ever seen in my life’. Interestingly, there were also some people who were asking her to retire even before she went to space on the Blue Origin trip. Ticket sales were down and disappointing, to say the least. There were also some who were in the know and part of the concert series who were ‘skeptical from the beginning’. Discussions were held as to what they would do if the venues didn’t fill up as expected.

When the tickets went on sale in January, it was revealed that many dates in a number of US states were showing very low sales. As an example, 70% of some of the seats remained unsold in February for a show in Minneapolis on May 13.

Some sources close to Katy Perry also said that she regretted ‘making a public spectacle’ after and during the Blue Origin space mission. She thought that it would be good for her tour, but it doesn’t seem as if that is the case. During the show, she also stopped to pose for a selfie with two men in blue NASA jumpsuits. In speaking of her flight, she said that it “won’t be about me. It will be about this beautiful Earth. I think from up there, we will think, ‘Oh my God, we have to protect our mother,’”

When they were on the New Shepard rocket, she sang ‘What a Wonderful World’, and then on their return, she knelt down and kissed the ground. People were not very kind when it came to the memes they created. In the end, her popularity may be going down but she is still a very famous singer. Perhaps retirement is not that bad of an idea after all.
