It is becoming more and more common to have some form of cosmetic surgery done. Some of it is even considered routine, including having a rhinoplasty. When you have a nose job, you would expect that you come out from under the knife looking better than when you went in. Unfortunately, it doesn’t always work that ay and one botched nose job is going viral on social media. The nose job photos show the before and after but rather than being an impressive change of events, it appears as if somebody’s face has been ruined. People can’t get over the change and some are even saying that the after picture looks more like a before picture.
Since the nose job has taken place and gone viral, the surgeon responsible, Dr. Ferda Erol has responded. She said that the patient is not upset about the nose job but rather, they are completely satisfied with the new ‘Barbie nose’. @sabrinadocs was the first to share the photo from the procedure on social media and she captioned it with a question mark. The comments were quick to come in. One person said: “I REFUSE to believe this is real, seriously.”
Another added: “What a horrible thing; how do you get your nose back?” Of course, there are many people who have something funny to say about the situation as well. Dr. Ferda Erol has since spoken about the situation, saying that it is a rhinoplasty that resulted in a “Barbie Nose”. She went on to describe it as a ‘small, upturned, curved nose’. When asked about the reactions to the procedure on social media. She said: “My patient is very satisfied. I find the criticisms very harsh. Of course, I respect everyone’s opinion.” She then went on to share a photo of the patient she received, saying: “My patient is very happy. I think the photos taken during the surgery are misleading people.
“Everyone has their own personal taste and preference. “Many patients from all over the world come to me for surgery. There are many patients who like my surgery as well as those who give negative comments.” She said that there have been other patients who have had the surgery by another doctor and they come to her later for the Barbie nose look. She said: “Nowadays, most patients do not want natural results. But if I have a patient who wants a natural nose, I make them a natural nose.”
More than 34 million people have viewed the original video of the surgery since it was posted online. The doctor has posted additional videos on her TikTok page where she provides a similar nose style to other patients. Dr. Ferda Erol’s profile says she is an international rhinoplasty surgeon based in Turkey. Her website reads: “Op. Dr. Ferda EROL, who has been interested in rhinoplasty and health for 8 years, performs surgeries on approximately 2,000 patients from Turkey and many parts of the world every year.”
She also provides other procedures, including lip fillers, ear surgery, and eye surgery, such as brow lifts and eyelid surgery. Her website also talks about rhinoplasty, saying: “This surgery can change your physical appearance and increase your self-confidence, but before deciding to have surgery, you should think very carefully about your expectations and share them with your doctor. “The most suitable candidates for rhinoplasty are those who apply not for a perfect result, but for the purpose of correcting the appearance of the nose. “The success of the surgery depends on the surgeon’s knowledge, skill, and experience, as well as the patient’s age, general health status, structure of the nasal skin, degree of deterioration in the appearance of the nose, tissues and some special problems of the patient.”
